FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Vancouver, BC. July 25, 2001. Covenant House Vancouver announced today that they have secured a relationship with Johnnys Roadside and Leading Brands of Canada, Inc. to receive a portion of the net proceeds from sales of Johnnys Roadside Beverages to support programs to help youth at risk.

To get the ball rolling, Johnnys Roadside donated $1,500 to Covenant House today. Johnnys will participate in a number of fundraising events to benefit Covenant House throughout the year and plans are well under way to make this a long-term commitment. Johnnys Roadside will also be sampling their beverages at events around the lower mainland all summer from their promotional vehicle (pictured above) that is sponsored by X-fm, another Covenant House supporter.

Johnnys Roadside spokesperson Joanne Saunders says that Johnny believes that world peace begins at home. Ya gotta start with your own little piece of it. And Johnny is certainly doing his part as 10% of total profits from Johnnys Roadside products will be channelled into programs to help kids at risk.

Johnnys Roadside Beverages are a unique, All Natural line of flavoured ice teas and lemonades. The 6 Extreme Flavours include: Renegade Lemonade, Thirstade Lemonade, Raspberry Refreshment, Cherry Potion, Lemon Iced Tea and Blueberry Iced Tea

Covenant House is a crisis intervention centre and shelter for homeless, runaway and at-risk youth. We provide food, clothing, counselling and shelter to an estimated 500 1,000 street youth in Vancouver.
